Machine Repair Services

Everyone needs a great repair technician they can trust to take care of their machine when it needs the annual cleaning and tuneup or a major repair - Your prayers are answered right here at Love To Sew Boutique!  Our repairman, Jay has been servicing machines since the Store opened in June 2001!

We are happy to share that we have expanded the Store to make room for an In Store Repair Service Department!  We have hired an additional Repairman named Jeff who lives here but still owns his own Janome Dealership in MN and he is also a Certified Janome Repairman for over the last 13 years.  He repairs all brands of machines too besides Janome - so convenient and another great way to provide great service to our wonderful customers!

Benefits of Having Your Machine Serviced Here:

  • Feel confident that we are a Janome Factory Certified and Authorized Repair Service Shop.  Rest assured that we are using specialized gauges and diagnostic equipment.  Manufacturers supply factory repair centers like ours with the latest repair information, such as the availability of improved replacement parts, safety recalls, and usage suggestions that can minimize the need for costly repairs.
  • We adjust and repair your machine to EXACT original manufacturer standards.  This ensures your machine will perform to your expectations.  Untrained technicians "ballpark" the adjustments or "get close enough".  This results in a loss of stitch quality, improper thread tension, broken thread, and possible damage to your machine.
  • It is recommended to have all sewing and embroidery machines serviced every year whether they are heavily used or just sitting in the closet!  Having your machine serviced regularly will keep it running smoothly for years to come!
  • The many moving parts of your machine require lubrication so that they move freely. As your machine is used or over a period of time just sitting, the lubrication dries out. Once it has dried out, moving parts don’t work well and can seize up resulting in your machine locking up.
  • Thread and other debris may build up inside of your machine causing several common issues.  Lint is the enemy! Build up of lint leads directly to skipped stitches, uneven stitches and broken threads right in the middle of a seam. Cleaning your machine inside and out will restore good sewing machine health.
  • Annual service will allow areas experiencing excessive wear or misalignment to be identified and addressed before they cause more problems. A little tender loving care will keep your machine in good health and ready to meet your needs rather than experiencing failure in the middle of a rush project.
  • Handi Quilter longarm machines can have tuneups every 2-3 years since they are made with industrial parts unless you are having a problem that would require service sooner.
