Any Saturday the store is open and there is no class scheduled you are invited to participate in open sewing time. Just bring your project, spread out with lots of room and a large cutting table and sew till your heart's content - uninterrupted! What a great way to make some progress on your projects! No charge for your time and get a 10% discount on supplies you need for your project and rent a Janome machine for only $5 if you wish! This time, teacher Gail Kempker will be helping you begin making your own quilt tops while learning some basic skills, tips and tricks. Alex Anderson's book: Start Quilting will be the guide used for fabric cutting, block construction and quilt top piecing. The series will consist of 3 Saturday classes on April 9,16 and 23, 2016 and by the end of the series, you will have a pieced quilt top in your choice of fabrics. The cost includes all three classes for $75 total. Please contact the shop to sign up. All supplies are available at Love to Sew; the supply list is located below. If you want help choosing your fabrics, Gail will be happy to assist you this Sat, Feb 27 or April 2nd or ask the other employees during the week if you visit the shop.
Strip Club - One Day Quilt Workshop! Join us March 19, 2016 for a National Quilting Day celebration! We will do your pre-cutting with fabrics you choose from our shop or from one of our many new jelly roll sets and we will also do your pressing to allow you to make a beautiful new quilt top in a day! More Great News! We are asking for your help in choosing one of the beautiful patterns below to use that day! Please help us out by completing the survey below! Whichever pattern receives the most votes of Love It!!! will be chosen!! Winner will be chosen on March 1, 2016 so get your votes in early - they are anonymous so we only know how many votes are collected! The cost for the workshop will only be $10 plus the price of your fabric kit. The kit costs will vary according to what size quilt you choose to make, lap, twin, queen or king! We will make the throw or lap size for our class but you are welcome to choose a larger quilt to finish at home. We will also have a Potluck Lunch so you can bring a favorite yum yum to share with the class that day! What a fun time for all skill levels of quilters since we help you every step of the way!
